Curiosity got me here.
I came to glass through a long fascination with plants, science, cannabis, color and the way materials behave. Lampworking turned out to be a pretty good place for all of those interests to meet.
I like knowing why something works.
My background is in horticulture, controlled environments and cannabis. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about biology, chemistry, light, temperature and systems where tiny changes create very different results. Glass scratches the same itch.
Borosilicate starts as rod and tubing. Heat makes it move. Chemistry creates and changes color. Gravity helps or fights you. Timing matters. Then sometimes something happens that wasn’t part of the plan and it’s better than the plan. That’s the part I love.
